- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Melt butter over medium-high heat, then lower to medium-low, stirring constantly until brown bits form. Transfer to a bowl to cool.
- Pulse Earl Grey tea in a spice grinder until fine.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground tea in a bowl.
- Cream browned butter with brown sugars and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips.
- Cover dough and chill for at least 45 minutes (best if 24 hours).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough onto sheets and bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For best flavor, chill the dough for at least 24 hours before baking. Use freeze-dried strawberries to prevent sogginess.
