- 1/2 cup butter (melted & cooled)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Freeze 10 tablespoons of Nutella on a parchment-lined plate.
- Melt butter and let it cool. Whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until combined.
- Chill dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Scoop dough, flatten, and place frozen Nutella in the center. Seal and roll into a ball.
- Roll cookie dough balls in granulated sugar.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 11-12 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
