Ingredients

  • Salmon – Skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Seasoning – Paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper
  • Olive Oil – A light, neutral oil to cook the salmon
  • Aromatics – Fresh garlic and ginger add bold flavor
  • Soy Sauce – Use low-sodium soy sauce or a gluten-free alternative
  • Rice Vinegar – Adds mild acidity, can be swapped with apple cider vinegar
  • Honey – Opt for raw, local honey for the best flavor
  • Sesame Seeds & Chives – For garnish and a little crunch

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel.
  2. Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil and massage it into the salmon.
  4. Heat a heavy skillet with 1 tbsp oil.
  5. Add salmon cubes in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping often until crispy.
  6. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining salmon.
  7. In the same skillet, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger.
  8. Sauté for 1 minute, then stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey.
  9. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  10. Return the crispy salmon to the skillet and toss well with the sauce.
  11. Serve over steamed rice and garnish with sesame seeds and chives.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or drizzle with sriracha. For air fryer method, preheat to 390°F (200°C) and cook for 7-9 minutes, flipping halfway.
