Description

If you’re craving the delicious and healthy flavors of the Mediterranean, these Greek turkey meatballs with feta are a must-try! Packed with lean protein, fresh herbs, and warm spices, this easy-to-make dish is perfect for meal prep, dinner, or a quick lunch. Paired with homemade tzatziki sauce, these meatballs bring all the flavors of a ground turkey gyro in a bite-sized form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (preferably 93/7 lean for juiciness)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 large red onion, grated or finely chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried dill)
  • 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • Tzatziki sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meatball mixture: In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, minced garlic, red onion, egg, breadcrumbs, dill, oregano, salt, and pepper. Combine until just mixed.
  2. Form the meatballs: Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, form 14 even-sized meatballs.
  3. Cook the meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 7-8 minutes, turning constantly until all sides are browned and they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Make the tzatziki sauce: While the meatballs cook, prepare your homemade tzatziki using Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and dill.
  5. Serve and enjoy! Pair with rice, quinoa, or a fresh Greek salad for a complete meal.

Notes

To keep your meatballs juicy, use 93/7 lean ground turkey, avoid over-mixing the meat, and ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F without overcooking.
