- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts into a 6-quart crock pot. Pour in the heavy whipping cream and chicken broth.
- Add butter, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken, shred it using two forks or a hand mixer, then return it to the crock pot.
- Stir the sauce, then add the uncooked penne pasta. Ensure it is submerged in the liquid.
- Cover and cook on high for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese, stir well, and let sit for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
