- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (trimmed of fat)
- 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (we love Sweet Baby Ray’s)
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing (adds incredible flavor!)
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a crockpot liner.
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place them in the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 2.5-3 hours until fork-tender and reaches 165°F.
- Shred the chicken using two forks and let it soak in the sauce before serving.
Notes
