Description

A foolproof, delicious, and effortless Crockpot BBQ Chicken recipe! This pulled BBQ chicken is tender, juicy, and packed with bold flavors—perfect for sandwiches, salads, tacos, and more!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (trimmed of fat)
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (we love Sweet Baby Ray’s)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing (adds incredible flavor!)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a crockpot liner.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place them in the slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  5. Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 2.5-3 hours until fork-tender and reaches 165°F.
  6. Shred the chicken using two forks and let it soak in the sauce before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a programmable slow cooker to avoid overcooking. Using Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce adds the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors!
